Flat Tire Change Service in Roanoke, VA
Flat tire on the roadside? We fit your spare and get you moving safely.
Changing a tire on the shoulder is one of the more dangerous things a driver does, especially at night, in the rain, or anywhere near I-81. We show up with a hydraulic floor jack and the right tools, fit your spare properly, and keep you out of live traffic while we work.
The right jack in the right place
We use a hydraulic floor jack, not the emergency scissor jack folded into your trunk, and we lift from the manufacturer’s jacking points. That matters. A jack set on a pinch weld or a plastic sill bends bodywork, and at worst it drops the vehicle.
Torqued properly, not just spun on
Under-tightened lug nuts work loose. Over-tightened ones warp brake rotors and leave you unable to get the wheel off next time. We tighten in the correct star pattern to the correct spec, and we tell you to have the wheel re-checked once you are somewhere safe.
You need a usable spare
We fit the spare that came with your vehicle, so it has to be there and holding air. Check yours now rather than at 11pm on the shoulder of I-81. We do not carry replacement tires and we do not plug or patch at the roadside. If your spare is unusable you need a tow to a tire shop.
Tire Changes questions
What if I do not have a spare tire?
Then a roadside change is not possible and you need a tow to a tire shop. A lot of newer cars ship with an inflator kit instead of a spare. Check your trunk before you need it.
Can you patch or plug my tire instead?
No. We fit your spare so you can drive safely to a tire shop. A roadside plug is temporary and a proper shop has to assess the tire anyway.
How fast can I drive on the spare?
On a compact donut spare, treat 50 mph and 50 miles as the ceiling and get to a tire shop soon. A full-size matching spare has no such limit.
